Altranais

regulatory
body

Nursing
profession

Ireland.
In
order
to
work
as a
Registered
Nurse
or
midwife
you
will
need
to
apply
to An
Bord
Altranais
for
entry
to the
register
of
Nurses
and
Midwives
as
maintained
by the
Board.
Your
registration
is
also
needed
in
order
to
qualify
for a
working
visa/work
authorisation
or
work
permit.
Applications
from
EU
Nurses
are
usually
processed
in
about
6
weeks.
Applications
are

accepted
from
newly
qualified
Nursing
Graduates.
No
Formal

exam

standard
of
English

judged
